Further information
Childcare (Under 16 years of age)
It is Trust policy that patients and carers are not allowed to leave children unaccompanied in waiting areas. Unfortunately, children may not accompany patients into the examination room. If you do bring children with you, they must be accompanied in the waiting area by a responsible adult.
Chaperones
We will provide a chaperone for all intimate examinations. You may also request a chaperone for any examination and we will aim to provide one immediately. Occasionally, this might not be possible – in such an event we will rebook your appointment for when a chaperone is available.
Valuables
You are strongly advised not to bring money (other than for parking or refreshments) and other valuables into the hospital. The Trust cannot accept responsibility for the loss of property brought onto the premises. For many examinations in radiology, you will be asked to remove jewellery. It would be greatly appreciated if you remove all jewellery ahead of your appointment and leave it at home for safekeeping.
