Medical Illustration photographers and support workers provide diagnostic imaging to support patient care pathways as well as non-clinical photographic and video services, across all sites. The service receives over 5,000 requests per year and undertakes:
Clinical Photography
For use in medical records, diagnosis and treatment planning.
Surface Topography
A means of measuring spine curvature in scoliosis, allowing clinicians to monitor a patient without the use of x-rays.

Non-Clinical Photography
Including staff portraits, public relations, architectural, equipment and product photography.
Video
To illustrate and record clinical conditions where still images are less effective e.g. to demonstrate an increased range of hand movements after surgery. Video production is also used to deliver staff training and patient information.
