Meet the team
The Urogynaecology department is a team of consultants, clinical nurse specialists, and specialist physiotherapists.
We care from patients from across Yorkshire including complex pelvic floor reconstruction, urinary incontinence, prolapse and obstetric injury. We work closely with colleagues in Urology, Colorectal Surgery and community services. We have joint Urogynaecology and Colorectal pelvic floor clinics dealing with complex and combined problems of urinary and faecal incontinence, bowel and pelvic floor prolapse and other inter-related conditions.
We have a Obstetric Perineal/Pelvic Floor Clinic where all patients with obstetric anal sphincter injuries, postpartum bladder problems, delayed perineal healing and related problems attend. We also work with a Urogynaecologist, Physiotherapist and Colorectal Surgeon when appropriate.
Our Urogynaecologists work in general and benign gynaecology and work closely with Obstetricians and Gynaecologists within the centre and in the region. Patients may be referred from other Consultants within Leeds and from around the region including York, Halifax, Pontefract, Harrogate, Hull, Bradford, Northallerton, Wakefield and Barnsley.
