Our doctors

Our 7 consultant surgeons are Mr Tim Broadhead, Mr Diederick De Jong, Dr Tracy Jackson, Mr Richard Hutson, Mr David Nugent,  Dr Amudha Thangavelu, and Mr Georgios Theophilou. They are assisted by Dr Sarika Munot, Dr Ganiy Abdulrahman and Dr Racheal Johnson

The department also has one to two senior trainees completing advanced training fellowships in gynaecological oncology surgery. Currently we have Dr Alexandros Laios.

Our clinical nurse specialist team – key workers

If you have been diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer, you will be allocated a key worker from the clinical nurse specialist team. This person will help to co-ordinate your care and provide a point of contact when you need to know where to go for help, advice or information. They have an understanding of the care you are receiving and are able to provide emotional support to you, your family and loved ones. They will be based at your local hospital and you will be given their contact details so that you can get in touch with them if needed. Please note that your key worker will usually only work weekdays and not weekends or bank holidays. If you leave a message on their answering machine please allow 24-48 hours for them to reply to you. Your individual key worker will provide you with specific details about their working hours and days.
