Virtual treatment pathways

More information about our Virtual Treatment Pathways, helping you manage your injury from home.

If you’ve been referred to our Virtual Treatment Pathway, this means you have sustained a simple fracture. The Fracture Clinic won’t contact you directly in these cases, so please follow the appropriate injury guidance explained on these pages (and also mentioned on your referral card) to support your recovery. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your injury please contact the Fracture Clinic directly using the details below.

Welcome to the Virtual Fracture Clinic website

Hello, and welcome to the virtual fracture clinic website. My name’s John Brogdon, and I’m a clinical physiotherapist within trauma and orthopaedics. You’ve been referred to the virtual fracture clinic website. Follow an attending accident emergency or the minor injuries unit.

Your x-rays have been reviewed by an orthopaedic consultant. You have sustained a common and predictable fracture that does not require a face-to-face appointment. The clinician who assessed you for the accident and emergency or the minor injuries unit has provided you with a card with your written diagnosis on the back.

Please see the left-hand column of the web page and select the matching diagnosis. Here you will find written information and videos on how to manage your injury. You will not receive any further communication from the virtual fracture clinic team; however, should you encounter any problems or have any queries, please see the contact us section.
