We always try to see people at or before their appointment time so please arrive 10 minutes early. If you are late there may be a significant delay before you are seen, or we might have to reschedule your appointment for another date.
If you are unable to attend your appointment please contact the department as soon as possible at 0113-3926855. We may then be able to offer the appointment time to somebody else.
Finding Us
We are located on A Floor of Brotherton Wing at Leeds General Infirmary. We recommend you enter the hospital at the Brotherton Wing entrance which is immediately opposite Millenium Square. From the main entrance take the door to the left of the stairs. We are located down the long service corridor. Overhead signs will direct you to reception.
Car Parking
As Leeds General Infirmary is located in the city centre, finding on-street parking can be difficult. There are several car parks reasonably close by and we suggest you allow plenty of time to park and find the department. There is a hospital multi-storey car park near to Jubilee Wing and the nearest public car park is at Woodhouse Lane (LS2 3AX).
Interpreters
For patients whose first language is not English we are able to provide interpreting services in their own language. This needs to be booked in advance – please call the department on 0113-3926855 at least one week before the appointment date.
Patient Transport Service
If your Consultant has advised us it is medically necessary, we will try to arrange transport to and from your appointment. If this has been arranged it will be confirmed on the appointment letter you receive. Please note we cannot arrange patient transport without prior agreement from your referring Consultant.
If this has not been arranged and you believe it is required you can ask your GP (family doctor) to arrange this for you. If this is agreed please contact the department directly on 0113-3926855 as soon as possible, as some appointment times are not suitable for patients attending via patient transport services.
Please be aware that the transport service can arrive very early on the day of your appointment and there may be a significant delay after your investigation is complete before the transport service collect you to take you home. This is something Neurophysiology has no control over. We suggest you bring some food and drink along with any regular medications with you if you are travelling with the patient transport service.
