We see patients in a variety of general and specialised Paediatric Rheumatology clinics.
New referrals to the Paediatric Rheumatology team will initially be assessed in Leeds, with a view to follow up in more local clinics throughout the Rheumatology network. This is to allow patients to be seen as close to home as possible.
Patients are reviewed by a Consultant or Senior Specialist Trainee, as well as being seen by a Senior Physiotherapist and a Clinical Nurse Specialist if appropriate.
Other members of the Allied Health Professional team such as an Occupational Therapist as well as our Youth and Transition Worker may also be present in clinic. As Leeds Children’s Hospital is a teaching hospital, medical students and trainees can also ask to sit in on clinics.
