What to expect when you attend a valve clinic appointment
Tests you may need
Heart valve disease is most commonly identified by a healthcare professional listening to your chest and hearing a murmur. A murmur can mean a number of things and your healthcare professional should refer you for a heart ultrasound to see if there is a problem with your heart valves. There are other potential tests to further assess your heart valves, the effect your condition may have on your heart size and function, or to assess your suitability for intervention.
