Supporting a bereaved person
If someone you know has been bereaved and you feel able to support them, let them know you are there. It is often the little things that people remember.
Don’t be afraid to talk about the person who has died, or not to talk at all if that’s what they want. Be guided by them. Offer to take round a meal and eat with them, or go for a walk together. Accept that they will not always want company.
