NIHR Leeds Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) is a £40 million partnership between Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust and academia. BRC works to transform cutting-edge medical research into innovative improvements in patient care.

NIHR Clinical Research Facility
NIHR Leeds Clinical Research Facility (CRF) works within Leeds Teaching Hospitals across industry, research councils and charities, running 100+ early-stage clinical trials yearly, aimed at pioneering and accelerating new experimental patient treatments.

NIHR Leeds BioResource
The NIHR BioResource Centre Leeds, led by Dr Sinisa Savic, sits within the wider NIHR infrastructure at the hospital and is committed to delivering research to transform the outcomes and lives of people with a range of diseases such as rare conditions, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMID). Those with or without existing health conditions are welcome to participate in the BioResource. We provide a variety of appointments at Chapel Allerton and the Leeds General Infirmary (LGI).
National Pathology Imaging Co-operative
National Pathology Imaging Co-operative (NPIC) is a unique collaboration between NHS, Academic and Industry partners to, deploy digital pathology systems in hospitals across the country to improve pathology services and patient outcomes, disseminate best practice in digital pathology, develop and evaluate AI in pathology and create a platform for nationwide research and innovation.
NIHR Leeds InVitro Diagnostics Co-Operative
NIHR Leeds MIC exists to support developers in the design and validation of new medical diagnostic tests. We drive forward new innovations to accelerate clinical adoption. We are funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and form a partnership between the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and the University of Leeds. We offer a range of support for Industry, Academics and Clinicians on one or more of our four clinical themes.
