The funding to Enrich Digital Technologies comes from Innovate UK under the New Innovators in Health Technologies West Yorkshire programme.
The pilot is being led by Dr Lydia Green, Consultant Paediatric Neurologist, with support from Dr Munni Ray, Consultant Paediatric Neurologist and Neurophysiologist. Following this initial phase, the app’s scope could expand to evaluate its effectiveness in supporting children with conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, Autism, ADHD, and other rare diseases in child services.
EnrichMyCare, part of the 2024 Health Innovation Propel YH Accelerator Programme, developed by a Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist and an NHS Clinical Entrepreneur, is a revolutionary personal health and care monitoring platform designed to streamline the care journey for children and young people with complex needs. The app empowers parents, carers, and teachers by enabling them to systematically document and track a child’s clinical presentation and care journey across multiple health and social care providers.
The platform utilises innovative dashboards and a traffic light system to help professionals proactively manage care and coordinate interventions. Its data analytics capabilities not only aim to improve outcomes by minimising health complications but also free up clinical capacity by reducing unnecessary appointments and investigations. Additionally, the app seeks to address health inequalities by standardising care and eliminating variations across providers.
The pilot represents a collaborative effort to explore how digital tools can transform the care pathway, ensuring that every child receives the right care at the right time, and sets the stage for future innovation in paediatric healthcare in the region.
