Welcome to the Paediatric Emergency Department at Leeds Children’s Hospital. As a major trauma centre we see children and young people with a wide range of medical illnesses and injuries.
Jubliee Wing
We are located on the ground floor of Jubilee Wing next door to the Adult Emergency Department at Leeds General Infirmary.
Please note – there is no Emergency Department for children under 16 at St James’s University Hospital. All children under the age of 16 who need emergency care should go to the Children’s Emergency Department at Leeds General Infirmary.

Buses to Leeds Children’s A&E
Located in Leeds city centre, the LGI and Leeds Children’s A&E is served directly by the Route 5 Leeds city buses.
Many other buses stop on the Headrow, which is a short walk from the hospital.

Trains to Leeds Children’s A&E
Leeds Train Station is the closest station to Leeds Children’s A&E which is a 12 minute walk away.
Buses to the LGI run regularly from outside Leeds Train Station.
