Dr Latheef has a particular interest in the subject of skin allergies, with the use of specialised tests such as cutaneous patch testing and skin prick testing. He also runs one of the largest Acne clinics in Leeds from a dedicated community clinic as well as having a research interest in melanoma skin cancers.
He holds the post of Consultant Dermatologist and Allergy specialist at the Leeds Centre for Dermatology, at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, recognised as an international centre of excellence for Cutaneous Allergy as well as conditions such as skin cancer, Acne and Rosacea. He is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Leeds and is actively involved in teaching and supervision of medical students and junior doctors in training. In addition he is the Lead Consultant for one of the Leeds Community Dermatology Services (Livingcare)where he supervises General Practitioners with a specialist interest (GPWSI) in Dermatology as well as Dermatology Nurses. He regularly sees patient with general dermatology and inflammatory skin conditions including Psoriasis, Eczema, Alopecia, keloid scars, excessive sweating and for mole checks and other rashes.
