Common problems include:
- Pelvic Girdle Pain (PGP)
- Lower back pain
- Mid back pain
- Separation of the abdominal muscles (Diastasis recti abdominus)
- Pins and needles in finger tips (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome)
- Bladder leakage
- Bowel leakage
- Pelvic Organ Prolapse
Once you have been referred you will be offered an appointment in a group (Zoom) or individual setting, this may include telephone and / or face to face appointments with a member of our physiotherapy team.
If you are getting any of the above symptoms please seek a referral to our service via your midwife or GP. Our service has shown that 97% of our patients report improvement in symptoms following physiotherapy.
Please note if your problems are not pregnancy related, (you are over 6 weeks post-natal or under 12 weeks antenatal) your care would be best suited to see the community musculoskeletal physiotherapy team. Your GP can refer you for this.
