In this BBC Look North interview, The Unity: After Cure Choir shares their inspiring story.
Unity The After Cure Choir
For me unity was all about coming together, making new friends and having someone within unity who understand what I’ve been through.
It’s helped me with my depression. Making me realise people have been through what I’ve been through.
Unity has helped me meet other people who have been through a similar experience. Just get what it means to be a survivor of childhood cancer.
I feel like I belong to a group now. It had changed all of us in a special way.
It is such a privilege to be a part of the family that is unity. I must be one of the most rewarding things I’ve had the privilege of being a part of.
